Traditional hatha yoga classes
Connect to yourself.
Yoga is a spiritual path which connects the breath and body through practices involving postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama) and meditation. My classes incorporate all of these as well as chanting (mantra) for a holistic experience which is much more than just exercise.
Classes are generally slow and gentle but firm, with longer holds rather than speedy transitions.
I like to think of yoga as a moving meditation. Western yoga often focuses on strength of the body and expends a lot of energy, or prana, in the process. My teaching style moves between states of activation and relaxation to increase prana in the body, giving you more energy and focus.
As well as following the path of hatha yoga, I am also a qualified mindfulness teacher. I weave these teachings into both my yoga and therapy practices and teach standalone mindfulness courses. Check my events page for any upcoming courses or workshops.
